Welcome to OScholar, a product of The Legal Gazette. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our all-domain research and academic publishing platform. By accessing or using OScholar, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using our platform on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms for that organization and confirm you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
As a user of OScholar, you agree to:
- Use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
- Respect intellectual property rights and academic integrity
- Maintain professional conduct in all interactions and communications
- Not engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the platform
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
- Not use the platform for any commercial purposes without our express consent
Author Submissions
- You retain copyright to your submitted works
- By submitting content, you grant OScholar a worldwide, non-exclusive license to publish and distribute your work
- You warrant that your submission is original and does not infringe any third-party rights
- You are responsible for ensuring proper attribution and citations
- We reserve the right to reject or remove content that violates our content guidelines
Content Guidelines
- Content must be academically rigorous and professionally presented
- Plagiarism or academic dishonesty will result in immediate removal
- Content must comply with applicable laws and ethical standards
- We do not permit defamatory, obscene, or harassing content
- OScholar platform and its original content are the exclusive property of The Legal Gazette
- Our trademarks, logos, and branding may not be used without permission
- User content remains the property of the respective authors
- You may download and use content for personal, non-commercial research purposes
- Commercial use of platform content requires explicit permission from copyright holders
- Basic access to OScholar is free for readers
- Premium features and services may require payment
- All fees are stated in INR or USD as applicable and are non-refundable unless otherwise specified
- We reserve the right to change our fee structure with 30 days' notice
- Payment processing is handled by secure third-party providers
We may suspend or terminate your access to OScholar at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your profile settings.
OScholar is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. The content published on OScholar represents the views of the authors and not necessarily our views.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
Our total liability in any matter arising out of or related to these Terms is limited to the greater of ₹10,000 or the amount you paid us for the use of the platform in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
- These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
- Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in a mutually agreed city in India.
- Arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English.
- You waive your right to participate in class-action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the platform or by email. Continued use of OScholar after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
